Who We Are

What Data We Process

• Test inputs & results (local only). Your quiz answers and results are stored locally in your browser via localStorage. We do not transmit them to our servers.
• Consent preferences. Your Accept/Reject decision for cookies is stored locally to honor your choice.
• Analytics & advertising signals (only if you consent). If you choose “Accept”, we may process pseudonymous analytics/ads data via Google Ads (gtag.js) and our self-hosted Matomo. IP addresses are anonymized for analytics.
• Support messages. If you email us, we process your email address and your message to respond.

Cookies & Consent

We use a simple consent banner (Accept / Reject). Until you accept, we set analytics/advertising storage to “denied” through Google Consent Mode v2 and we do not load Matomo.

• Before Accept: no analytics/ads cookies; Google runs in consent-denied/limited mode; Matomo is not loaded.
• After Accept: Consent Mode switches to “granted”; analytics/ads cookies may be set; Matomo loads with IP anonymization.

Essential security storage may remain allowed to prevent abuse/fraud.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted Matomo instance at stats.thinkhint.app. Analytics runs only after you click Accept. We enable IP anonymization (masking at least two bytes) and do not analyze your individual test answers (those remain in your browser).

Advertising

We use Google Ads (gtag.js). With Consent Mode v2, we respect your choices for: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage. If you reject, ads (if shown) rely on limited signals; if you accept, additional measurement/personalization may occur according to Google’s policies.

Purchases via Gumroad

Full reports are delivered via Gumroad. When you purchase, you are subject to Gumroad’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Consent: analytics and advertising cookies/signals (you can withdraw any time via “Manage consent”).
• Legitimate interests: basic site security, fraud prevention, and responding to support emails.
• Contract: processing necessary to deliver purchased reports (via Gumroad’s platform).
• Legal obligation: records we must keep if applicable law requires it (e.g., tax/transaction logs on Gumroad’s side).

Data Retention

• Test results: stored in your browser until you clear site data or delete them.
• Consent choice: stored until you reset it (see “Manage consent”).
• Support emails: retained only as long as needed to handle your request or as required by law.
• Analytics data: retained per Matomo/Google retention settings with IP anonymization enabled.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. EU/UK residents also have portability and objection rights. To exercise rights, email support@thinkhint.app.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise rights, contact support@thinkhint.app.

International Transfers

Services we use may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) provided by our vendors.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize risk and limit access.

Children

Our services are not intended for children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
